How to measure the quantity of sand & aggregate in dumper, truck or haiwa
In this construction video tutorial, you will learn how to calculate the quantity of sand and aggregate that is delivered through different types of dumper, trucks or haiwas in the construction site.
The dimensions of these vehicles may be different. You will learn some useful tips to calculate the quantity of sand and aggregate for diversified vehicles.
To determine the volume of dumper, the following formula will be used:-
L x B x H i.e. Length x Breadth x Height
The length of the upper portion and bottom portion of the truck is different.
Suppose, there are two types of lengths like 5.5 m and 4.5 m
So, average length will be 5.5 + 4.5 / 2 = 10/2 = 5 m
Width of the dumper is taken as 1.5 m
The height is taken as 1.7 m. But it is recommended to select 2 or 3 heights and take their average.
After putting all the values, we get the following result:-
Volume = 5 x 1.5 x 1.7 = 12.75 cubic meter
In this way, you can calculate the quantity of sand and aggregates for truck & haiwa.
